Sugaring uses two main application/removal methods: rolling and stripping. Rolling involves shaping the sugar paste into a ball and working it over the skin to capture hairs, then lifting it away. Stripping uses a fabric or paper strip placed over the paste; the strip is pulled off in one quick motion to remove the paste along with the hairs. This is the other standard technique employed with sugaring for efficient hair removal, especially on larger areas. Plucking, heating, and twisting aren’t used as sugaring removal methods, so they aren’t relevant to how sugaring is performed.
